Seven Hills Community Services
Overview
The individuals that are supported by Seven Hills Community Services live in homes located in communities throughout the state. One of our goals is to provide each one of those individuals with a comfortable, safe home, keeping them closely connected to family members, friends and the activities available to them in their own community.
We achieve this goal with the help of a well-trained and professional staff as well as supportive family members and guardians, those people that participate closely in the care and support of the individual with disabilities in their life. We consider that we are partners with them in reaching our goal of insuring safe, quality care, autonomy, choice, and respect for the individual…each and every day of their lives. The importance of our collaborative effort to work toward these goals cannot be overstated.
Through community-based supports, Seven Hills Community Services strives to increase the individual’s personal control and independence, and contribute to the highest quality of life for each person. We endeavor to support the individual by:
- Encouraging community membership through the expression of personal interests and beliefs.
- Supporting continued development of each individual’s skills and abilities.
- Respecting and celebrating the individual’s talents and contributions.
- Helping individuals to achieve increased autonomy.
- Helping foster important, lifelong friendships.
- Assisting individuals in our care to experience both the pleasures and responsibilities of daily life.
Services offered by Seven Hills Community Services:
- 24 hour residential supports: Supporting people in the community with 24 hour staff oversight in a home with other individuals.
- Community Supports/Supported Living: Providing supports to individuals who live on their own in the community and require less than 24 hours of support. Supports can vary from assisting with finances, providing transportation, coordinating Personal Care Attendants, direct support, food shopping, etc.
Seven Hills Community Services works in partnership with Affiliate, Seven Hills Family Services to provide the following other supports and services to individuals that live in our Community-based residences throughout the Commonwealth.
- Adult Day Health
- Adult Family Care
- Day Habilitation
- Department of Education/Department of Mental Retardation Project
- Family Support
- Home Health Care
- Interim Services
- Respite Care
- Respite Houses
- Shared Living
- Sports, Recreation, and Leisure
- Supported Employment
Seven Hills Community Services has provided residential living opportunities to individuals in need of many different levels of support since 1970. We offer well-equipped, comfortable, and well-appointed residences, and more importantly a caring, capable, well-trained, professional staff to provide services within the homes. Our hope is that every individual that resides in a Seven Hills Community Services supported residence will feel comfortable, secure, and happy in his or her home.
