Child Care Resources Overview

Child Care Resources (CCR) began in 1986 to provide affordable, quality child care in Worcester County.

Child Care Resources maintains a commitment to parental choice. We respect the personal preferences of the parent and, therefore, do not recommend one child care program over another. We provide parents with information necessary to make an informed choice.

The program is comprised of three major components supported by our Fitchburg and Worcester sites.

Voucher Day Care (Fitchburg & Worcester Sites)

• Assists participants in their search for subsidized child care throughout Worcester County with offices in both Fitchburg and Worcester.

Resource & Referral Services (Fitchburg Site)

• Resource & Referral offers services to the general public and community to locate child care services. Child Care Information & Referrals. To see your service delivery area of the cities and towns served by the Fitchburg site, please scroll down for listing.

Teachings and Trainings (Fitchburg Site)

• Training and Workshops on a variety of topics are offered to teachers and childcare providers. Also, technical assistance as well as resources are available to the provider community.

Lending Library (Fitchburg Site)

The Lending Library is for the exclusive use of teachers and childcare providers in the surrounding communities.

Our Lending Library is full of equipment, curriculum kits, children's books, teacher resource books, toys and much more! Come in and check it out.

The library is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Lending Library Policies

• Use of the library and its contents are restricted to members only. Membership cards will be issued for 1 year
  to adults completing an application. Membership is
  non-transferable.
• Selected books, audio and video tapes, toys, equipment and curriculum kits are available for loan. Loans are made for up to 30 days.
• A deposit of $25.00 (check) will be required if you borrow videos, certain kits and equipment. The check will be returned to you when the borrowed items are returned in good condition.
• As the library cardholder, you are responsible for the care and use of all borrowed items. We understand the normal wear and tear of equipment, but excessive damage or lost materials will be the responsibility of the provider. The provider will be expected to pay all replacement costs.
